Deep Autumn vs Deep Winter

How to tell which one you actually are.

The short answer. Both go dark and both take contrast. Deep Autumn's darks have brown and bronze in them; Deep Winter's have blue and black. Compare chocolate against true black — one of them will look like it belongs on you.

What separates them, from each side

Just as dark, but cool. A Deep Winter looks alive in true black and pure white and drained by camel; a Deep Autumn is the reverse. Compare chocolate with black against your face, and cream with pure white.

Just as dark, but warm. A Deep Autumn's darks have brown and bronze inside them and a Deep Autumn looks alive in chocolate and camel; a Deep Winter looks drained by both. If black looks like it belongs on you and chocolate looks like a compromise, you are on the winter side.

Hold chocolate and black against your face. If chocolate is clearly better, you are an autumn.
Hold cream and pure white. If cream is clean and white is harsh, you are an autumn.
Wear rust as a whole top. If it looks as good as burgundy does, you may be a True Autumn; if burgundy wins, stay here.
